Looking Excellent!
And moving on pretty fast too.
I have seen "professional" paint jobs that aren't a patch on that one, very well done!
What are you doing about the interior?

update time!
well ive been putting everything together now.... taking a while as the garage ive moved to has no electricity yet, soon though...
spreader plates made from some nice thick ally:
got a sand blasting cabinet at work, so got some bits cleaned up:
painted up my pedal box and got it all copper greased up, so now it actually returns on the spring!
got it all in with new gaskets, got the loom roughly in and drilled the hole for my capillary temp guage
a few questions about interior....
got this fabric to go on the dash and headlining, should look swish!
just a shot of him in his new house!
all for now...

you can shorten the carbs and choose wisely on the manifold and you wont need to spoil the bonnet
please note, these are my own, individual sales, nothing whatsoever to do with my employer, minispares

Re: Project Lunchbox.... The Minus
the bonnet already had a silly diagonal bulge that was from the oil filler to the single carb the original engine had, the bonnet was also full of cracks and had holes drilled for all sorts, so it was already ruined... lol i was thinking ERA scoop on the bonnet, subtle....guru_1071 wrote:tedmcedd wrote:

Re: Project Lunchbox.... The Minus
Just one point about the spreader plates - If you increase the length of "body" between the frame and the bolt head, you may crunch the fibreglass in trying to get the tower bolts tight.
I found this on my FRA shell - it was crushing the GRP before the bolt shoulder had tightened against the frame. I got round it by only using one of the "solid mount" spacers.

Just something to be aware of - you want the tower bolt tight against the frame, just nipping the crossmember.

Got it from Frost, VHT wrinkle finish.... good stuff! I used a heat gun on it to cure it a bit faster, plus it makes the wrinkles tighter....
