Cup washers for boot lid board

Post by KA2S4 »

Thanks to someone posting a link, I finally found someone who sells countersunk cup washers!

http://www.bresco.com/acatalog/Washers.html

Any idea which ones are correct for the pressboard boot liner on a Cooper?

I'm thinking BSF312P?

The BSF312P will do the job nicely, the screws are 1/2" or 5/8 no6 raised countersunk

Thanks Bob, yes, that's what I thought, but I was struggling to find a supplier, as Newton just does the bigger ones that show more outside the screw head.

The ones on the bresco site look right but i wasn't sure as they don't provide any info on the size of the washers.

Anyone know how to decode the product code?

As in what does Number 8 Number 6 and number 4 mean in terms of size?

Mine are black (bsf314) and so are the screws.

Some screw info here, http://www.fix8.co.uk/products/Fastener ... /646154423
No 10, N08 etc refers to the screw diameter and head size.

Those ones from 'Bresco' are just your normal everyday cup washers with the rolled edges.Which you can get from B&Q or Wickes .
If you are looking for something nearer to original shape and nothing a dab of silver paint would not sort.try page 10(#5177110),page 65 (#FWP906)or page123.(ZKC1607)

Gareth thanks for sharing the information for everyone! :D you're far too honest! Maybe you should say you have a rare source of 'Ex Works' cup washers, only 16 left in the world, on E-Bay now for the highest bidder (Original BMC packaging in picture not included)....

Again...... Many Thanks for sharing ;)
