Surely prices can't continue to rise like this for much longer :D

The poor sod who sells it at this price will get a shock when his e bay fees arrive next month too!

I was just about to put a link to that Lucas mirror as well.

I put a 120 speedo and an early 5 digit 90 mph on last night, need cash for panels. Here's hoping the madness continues!

The mirror will definitely make something mad as it comes with a Mini bracket.
But the cooler hoses will be another Dark Horse I think!

I'm sure your speedo will make it, good luck! ;)

When was the full rear bumper ever used on the Van or Estate? Never, to my knowledge.

It was used on the Mini T, the Innocenti traveller. Prof Peach owns what is probably the only Mini T in the UK.

In the Jon Pressnell's book it says a 1 piece full bumper was used in 1960. The books accuracy is very good generally, but I have my doubts. I have seen that you can buy reproductions new.

Bit doubtful seeing the Pick up was only introduced in 1961.
Who supplies the reproductions ?

Sorry I meant that the full bumper was apparently used on the very earliest 1960 Vans, but again I have no proof of this. The 2 oldest Vans in existence are the orange one that was auctioned this year, and that red/black one with the Renault 5 lights and a wine cooler

I cannot find the reproductions now, I found it on an obscure site that sold Mini parts, mostly custom.

This picture is one of a sequence from April/May 1960 and no sign of a full width bumper although it does have a straight gear lever.

To use the full bumper on the Estate and Van, some rearranging would have had to have been done with the reg. number and lighting. I'm not aware of any production Estates and Vans using the full (UK)bumper.

Nick mentions it being used on the Mini T. I once thought so also, but I packaged one of my bumpers up and sent it off to a Mini T owner for comparision and the answer came back that the two bumpers were not the same.

As far as use on the Pickup, I think that bumper was only used during 1964, but I don't have anything to back that up.

We had a 1966"D" registered pick-up at work when it was about 4 years old. That had a full width bumper - I can't say for certain that it had been there since new but it wasn't a vehicle that anybody had bothered modifying or smartening up
