Silverstone HSCC Finals 20th Oct 2012.
Try Again !!
Just a couple of shots of the race long dice between Pete Crews and Roger Phillips, very entertaining.
Shame Marc had a whoopsie and Tim had a failure of some sort.
Sorry there is not more I decided to watch some racing for a change.
The hare was the quickest through the complex.

Mike
I think the hare went to offer it's assitance to Marc after he had tangled with the Anglia
Not the best end to the season
There were a few who had trouble on the damp track in the morning, this Mustang scrapped the pit wall at the end of qualifying.
Even though it was a walk over for the 37 Falcon and the 46 Cortina there was plenty of close battles down the field.
Especially the Crewes/Phillips one
The Jag Mk2 seamed to be in competiton with the Cortina of Dan Cox to see who could leave the best rubber marks!
One of the most entertaining things to see were the DKWs. They looked and sounded like they were going at a 1000000mph, but were actually over 20 seconds off the pace ending up 4 laps behind in a 20 minute race.
Here's a link for the rest of my pictures from the HSCC finals.

Can't wait for Donnington.

Tim sent me his on-board footage which I have edited and posted on Youtube. Practice is a bit slippy, and unfortunately due the some of the engine parts getting scared of the dark, the race footage is not that long.

Tim,
After watching the great Vid.
I reckon your problem occured going through Copse on the lap that you retired on !!
I also now know what the smell was when you came through Beckets after your moment at Copse in practise.
Cheers
Mike
I knew Stuies photos would be better than mine !!

I work on the theory if I shot enough of them some of them have to turn out OK.
Also I thought the same as you regarding Tims engine probs, the engine note doesn't sound right when coming out of Copse.
