Re: 8 port
Medway, put my finger in the water here, anyone know a bloke that worked for KVA 16 valve engine heads that did his time with Louis Newmark/Smiths-Newmark in near New Addington and Biggin Hill in the late 1980s. CNC machining programming especially, of an excellent level?
Can't remember the blokes name, but he was only about 21 in 1990, when I was there, playing with my operational amplifiers and boot up programmes.

the Arden 8 port will be avalible again soon - minispares have spent the last 18 odd months sorting various problems out - mainly with supply.
the 'new' heads are been made from brand new casting boxes, using brand new casting & engineering drawings so all the inner casting walls are of a known thickness / valve seats are correct etc etc. 'as bought' the head will have far better chambers and ports than before (so should be a 'fit and forget' in most cases). there will also be a 'motorsport' version with bigger valves and more porting (this will be a more expensive special order product).
there will also be avalible (is already in stock) a full injection kit with direct to head throttle bodies. this kit will fit under a standard bonnet and will include ecu, loom, coil pack, front pulley etc etc.
minispares have invested a huge amount of money sorting the arden out to make it a saleable product again!!!
please note, these are my own, individual sales, nothing whatsoever to do with my employer, minispares

Rich,
What investment will the customer have to make to buy one of these complete kits?
Can you give us a guide.

sorry, the 'std' C-AJJ4064 head price should be in the same ball park as before.
the 'comp' version is not something that has a price - it will be a 1 x C-AJJ4064 plus a costing from the specalist who will do the conversion to the head for an individual customer

Re: 8 port
Very nice Rich.
It'll be good to see power/torque figures from it compared to the 7port Billet Specialist Components head. I know this one can be used in historic racing but it would still be interested to see up up against a brand new CNC design of head in terms of technology

it will do as the inlet port spacing and stud hole locations havent moved - will take a picture of it fitted to an older head when i have time.
at the moment the kit is the complete thing, but im sure that if they are popular they will sell it as two kits for people who have the ignition management side already.

Re: 8 port
ok
heres a couple of pictures of the injection hung off the front of a early arden head.
the studs where screwed in by hand and the throttle bodies just slid on - no messing.
note the distance from head face to end of throttle body - 140mm
note also that the spark plugs can be removed without having to remove the throttle bodies from the head
nice or what?
