Original Mini voted best British car

Post by mab01uk »

Autocar readers have voted the original Mini as the best-ever British car. It beat the Range Rover and Jaguar E-Type to the title:

Another accolade for the Mini to go alongside 'Car of the 20th Century', richly deserved as well, & a great tribute to the memory of the late Sir Alec Issigonis.

The classic mini still out performs alot of cars on the road today for boot size and leg room :/ I can sit behide myself with my driving postion in my classic mini but in a new mini/ focus/ golf/ clio I can't whats odd. the boot is alot bigger than most small cars eg the Aygo, 107, c1 and so on, its still a good car and still (running properly) can do well over 45 mpg

IMO its still a brillent little car
