How do folks

Who is going to the Gold Cup at Oulton and what day are you going?
Not seen anything mentioned about the mini display area etc, I was hoping to get my car sorted for it but time may be against me again :(

There's also a good selection of '70's tin tops in the JD Classics Race.

Hi Tom, there'll be an MCR club stand as usual (pre 1980 only this year), all post 1980 cars will have to park in the outfiled areas (odd idea, it's not exactly Goodwood Revival !).
Entry list here, as Tim says bit of an Impfest !
http://www.hscc.org.uk/resources/Provis ... .08.12.pdf

Maybe see you there ?

Who is deciding how old a car is? The shell is 70s and the rest 64...? If I can get it through an MOT I'll be there on Monday

If you've got a pre 1980 reg number you'll probably get into the infield anyway. Hope to see you there Tom.

Day passed very quickly and I didn't get a chance to say hello to many. Very wet race meant it should have been our day and the two Rogers did us proud Mike Kearon did well in Mike Smiths old car considering he had only sat in it prior to the race. I could have done with four cylinders firing when following any other car

After looking at the weather I decided to leave it. I didn't fancy the car's first outing being in the pouring rain.

I think the last time I went and it didn't rain was 4 years ago

Shame about the misfire Tim as we were relishing a potential scrap with Kearon as he reeled you in, not bad for an old boy eh ? Must say as a speccy it was a great race with scraps all down the order, given a few more laps I reckon Godfrey could have won that race outright.

Interesting line by Roger Philips at Druids....

Never needed a Marigold before - joys of Class D = electronic ignition. Not sure what it was . Mind you , following 2 Mustangs was a bit like water skiing
