Re: my new shell
i dont know when the Peel Bearing actually stopped racing but the car belonging to Gord Lowe was his start in racing and he ended it racing both vintage and formula racing in his 1982 Lotus Super Seven and a 1982 Reynard Formula Ford when he died of a heart attack on New Years Day 2008.

Re: my new shell
Well the shell is still setting on the trailer how i brought it home; but covered now. Been soo busy getting my 63 Super Deluxe on the road. I bought it with an 1100 in it and thought id freshen it up this past winter which led to a major rebuild and never did get it running properly. After pulling it out for the 3rd time and sending the crank out to get a rod journal fixed and not having driven it all summer very much,.... mebbe 500miles at best, I threw in my Cooper S engine which has been sitting in my garage since the mid 90's rebuilt and ready to go but waiting for the rusted out S shell it came out of. NEEDLESS to say,.... shoulda done this back in the Spring AND what i hoot to have the Mk 1 dancing again with a 1275,..... for the time being.
