Well there's five of us in 60's Minis and an 80's entry in the class on the Sunday 29th which also includes a good number of sports cars, not sure whether it'll be subdivided ? 142 entries in total. Hope it keeps raining !

Great - glad there will be some Minis on the hill!
I'll be there spectating and hoping to take my three year old daughter for her first visit! She'll be happy to see some Minis!
Who should I look out for/say hello to?!
Chris

Re: Shelsley Walsh Classic July 29th
i dont think I can make it on Sunday, but I will try.
All the best anyway.
I did 4 years on the midlands hills in Minis with superchargers.
Its a very social sport, but I enjoyed it,even though its a lot of hanging around.
I might buy something in the next couple of years and do a few sprints and hills.

Re: Shelsley Walsh Classic July 29th
Nice to see you on Sunday Mike, did see your car Chris but missed you somehow !
Really enjoyed the event and will definately be back next year if only for the stunning views ! Very relaxed, great crowd and a superb entry list plus the facilties at Shelsley are second to none. Car clubs, trade stands (picked up a few mags and books), what's not to like ?
I didn't get any decent photos as usual but managed a few quick snaps......
Broadspeed staff/driver reunion in full swing (somewhere...)
Tim smacked our asses (?!! ) on the timed event......
Definately short on grunt but not on fun.....
Thanks to Paul for the invite.

Re: Shelsley Walsh Classic July 29th
Hi, Yes I saw the cars but didn't see you around the Hornet when we were in the paddock! We were there early until mid afternoon, so missed your proper timed runs up the hill unfortuantely.
It's a great venue isn't it - such a brilliant atmosphere. The new converted barns/restaurant/water mill are great - all that stuff used to be in portacabins and wooden sheds in the paddock.
Here are a few photos from the day:
A classic Shelsley scene:
Tim's Mini:
Not sure who's this one is?
Simon Taylor from Haymarket/C&SC Mag blasts off the start line:
I think we were lucky to only get one rain storm - the steam from the Aston's exhaust was great!
My Mini and Dad's Frogeye on display:
There was a very diverse range of cars in the car park!
And here is the vid with Tim setting off up the hill - hope it works:
Cheers,
Chris
