Hi all
I know there are a couple of early mini production line videos on You Tube but someone recently told me there is one of a guy on the assembly line 'adjusting' a mini door with a length of 4" x 2" timber!!
Everyone knows what a bxxxxxx they are to fit, but does anyone know of a link to this or any other 'interesting' vids they could send me??
thanks

Re: BMC Assembly Line Videos
I think it might be in this 1989 TV documentary, if not plenty of hammers on the 'body in white' line:

I actually witnessed the door timber adjustment tool on a Longbridge Mini production line tour back in the early 1980's, probably why the tour guide wanted us to view the Metro robot line instead!
Some of the Mini books also report of quality engineers using an improvised jig to stretch and reshape the bootlid to fit the varying body apertures, due to worn out tooling......
