I'm sorry, but am I the only person who gets really annoyed off with our government pissing money down the drain on ridiculous wastes of money like this.

Not only do we have to subsidise the bloody Olympics to the tune of Billions of pounds, but if that isn't enough the F-ing North London arty farty set need to get their snouts in the trough too, convincing some minor public official that something like this is a valid artistic statement and justifies it's price tag. The money spent on rubbish like this could without any doubt whatsoever keep a good few unemployed families in housing for a year or two or for that matter a few squaddies in decent accommodation rather than the rat infested hovels they are issued with at the moment.

Sometime I think this country is going collectively balmy!

"August 19th sees DLWP host a number of Minis in celebration of Richard Wilson's Hang On A Minute Lads, I've Got A Great Idea....Whether you have an old or new Mini or no Mini at all we want to see you at the De La Warr Pavilion. Enjoy a whole day of the iconic cars and then watch The Italian Job in the afternoon in our auditorium. There will also be Northern Soul DJs Jim Watson and Ray Patriotic providing us music from the bandstand.
Minis arrive in car park at any point in the morning from 10am and in place for photoshoot at 12 noon. The car park will be exclusively open to Mini owners.

I completely agree with you though, but remember we are the ones a fault 'cause we pay tradesmen cash in hand.....

As Frankie Boyle said recently on another but similar 'morality' issue, on which the Govt saw fit to comment "of course these things are immoral - we need that money as tax to buy missiles to fire into the homes of sheperds"

On the up side, at least the Edinburgh festival is about to start, so I'll have 4 weeks of pretentious arty twats getting in my way and clogging up the streets. It'll stop them haning busses of your public buildings.

the blue duple used to belong to the guy i bought my six wheeler from, in fact the cream wheels in the pictures came from mine!


its a shame to see it looking so rough, it was shabby when i saw it last, but still had all its glass.

i do wonder if the same guy delivered it who delivered mine to me.

he was cheap, but a bedford val was about 3" too long for his low loader, not a problem to him as he simply rammed the hydraulic ramps into the back of them........it didnt do much to improve the back end of mine either.......
