S brake caliper reqd.

Post by YMJ »

Sorry, I have put this in here as I'm desperate for the part and I think I'll get more exposure here....

Urgently required......the outer part of an original Lockheed r/h 'S' brake caliper (casting number 3242 613) is the bit I really need but I imagine I will have to shell out for a complete caliper. Please contact if you have either asap.
Cheers

WHOA THERE COWBOY!

The drillings vary from calliper to calliper. They are assembled and then drilled afterwards.

This is why the "turning down metro callipers" to fit under 10" wheels is frowned upon. All callipers are not created equal.

All you've got to do is split a couple and see how different they are.

Remember to de-burr the edges....

I would seek a complete unit myself.

Did it once without a problem but perhaps I was lucky.
But will take a complete caliper as that is what is most likely available or on offer.

My raison d'etre is that the inner part of the caliper has been modified (at great effort) to accept Rose petal wheels and so, frankly, I cannot be arsed to do it again to another one.
