Huddersfield Motorsport Reunion 2012

Post by steady eddie »

People have enquired about the date for this annual event which usually sees one or two northern Mk1 fans in attendance.

The date is as always the third Thursday in July, the 19th that is this year, at the Woodman Inn, Thunderbridge, Kirkburton, Huddersfield.

If you want to park near the front door, aka the bar I suggest that you should be there by 7.00pm

The pub management has changed I understand since last year but I have been assured that there will be food available over the bar and if the weather is good they should have the barbecue outside again. Last year as you will see below we had a great evening, will we get a break in this rain for this year?

See you there?

Spoilt only by the headlamps Rich not the most sensitive bit of styling I fear.

my dads was the single lamp version, which do look better, but the twin headlamps followed the fashion of grand tourers doubling up on the lamps, so that the gentleman driver could maintain the high speeds when it got dark, most larger sports cars of the day went down this route, until headlamp technology caught up with the halogen bulbs etc

i quite like them, i certainly wouldnt turn a saloon version down because of it!
