Hello JC,

You must wear your underpants outside your trousers and have a big 'S' on the front of your T shirt, up up and away.........

Hello JC,

Crikey, their bright, thats proper bling. Did you lacquer them after polishing or do you just keep polishing them. I understand this restoration was a few years ago, how has the polished alloy stood the test of time.

Hi Pete, yes Lennart are good when it gets to "Bling" up alloy & stainless steel.

Edit , here they are more than 5 years later , unpolished since they were fitted.

You're either playing Super Mario Karts on a Nintendo or loading / unloading a certain newly painted Clubman shell. :P
Bet that was the day that you had been looking forward to Jens.

First weeks work.

Sunroof & roof aerial fitted.

Had a new Wool of England cloth headlining made, by a specialist.

The old one smelled so bad, that the company had to keep it in a sealed plastic bag, so it didnt stink up the workshop

Next was the rearend, I could finally see how the car looked, with the NOS US spec rearlights, I bought for it 7 years earlier .

Rooflining finished, took the roof for a "test drive" to check all worked.

New rubber seals fitted, so all is ready for the windows.

By now we were into the long nights, in order to get it finished in time.

PS, the tekst on the White paper say "keep hands off the paint"

A picture, of some of the people who came to the garage/helped, during these hectic days.

The person in center sitting down, is my late Mother.
She made sure everybody had coffee, or something to eat, at all times.

Hey Rene,

The work continued, here the enginebay, with subframe back in, and almost ready for the engine to go in
(sorry for the poor picture)

It took a bit to see exactly what that last picture was. Maybe the front of a 68 Mustang, Then I recognized defroster pipes. It's not often I see that type of dash, and especially from that angle. :)

Never thought of that  and yes, I can see what you mean.

I was on the floor, when taking the picture, and the car was still up on the lift.
