Grand Prix de l'Age d'Or - Dijon, France
Hi,
Thought it might be interesting to share the pics I've took last week, during the "Grand Prix de l'Age d'Or"..
The car parade around the track.
"Hey, calm down honey !"
In the paddocks, the atmosphere smells like the sixties
Driver change training for the endurance run the next sunday (Iso Griffo A3c)
Some modern F1 cars where on the track. The speed gap between the 96 and '04 models is impressive.
Use the force, luke !
Local mini club
Minis VS MX5, with an Elise to arbitrate !
The SCCT stand, a track rent association, classic car oriented.
Pit Stop animation, for girls only !
On the track, most of the cars -and owners- were from UK
HGPCA PRE 61 podium. Ferrari Dino 0007 (N°3) owner, looks like father christmas, and weight about 260 pounds !
Lotus Cortina drifting in the MASTERS TOURING CARS challenge.
Mini VS Cortina
Nice slide for this 911 S in the 'S' of the sablières
Very nice mini battle between Burgess Philip and Devereux Christian
Devereux's car has kept a 'souvenir'.
GTSCC trophy (Maserati 250s)
XK120
TVR Grantura
Furious Cobras
E type challenge
Despite is impressive driving skills, the driver of this Cobra has only finished on the 7th place
Everything is under control in this Elite..
2 topics for this year..At first.. Women !
Sometimes disdainful ..
They usually observe.
Rarely help..
And most of the time, not give a damn!
Here comes the men..
Sometimes friendly,
Cautious..
Worried..
Thoughtful..
Careful..
But they always have the smile ! (Barrie "Whizzo" Williams)
"Morceaux choisis"..

The 'Santa Claus' you mention driving the Maserati will probably be Tony Smith, manager of the pop beat combo Genesis. It appears there is money to be made in the music business
