Austin Seven Trim Spec

Post by sracing »

Hi all,

I have a 1961 Austin Mini Seven, The car has blue and grey fleck trim, Its all complete and in good condition, except the dash liners are missing as the car has had a works style dash fitted.

Should the dash liners be in grey fleck or plain? The car is in its original Speedwell blue if this helps.

I do believe 61 mini's didn't have dash rails covered they were just bare paint :) don't quote me I could be wrong.

You are correct the dash rails are painted and are correct, I am trying to identify the spec for the liners either side of the speedo.

I'm not 100% on this, but i'll stick my neck out and say fleck cards (either side of speedo) and plain grey liner in the tray.

Hi KA2S4,
That is correct, so far as NZ is cvoncerened but there may be differences to UK built cars.
