I won't do a big write up on this but just to say me and Dave (Mk1 Rally) had a great weekend at the Cholmondeley Pageant Of Power last weekend and here's a few pics to illustrate.....(mine's the mutant !)

Slight meeting with the bales after this shot...no damage though other than my pride !

Lovely shot of Dave here (courtesy of Alan Raine) who overhauled me on Sunday (I'm saying this through gritted teeth) to win our own quickest Mini competition after some very consistant runs...

Thanks for the pics Pete,

It looks like it was a good event again. But as usual the weather gods were not on their side.

Ahh yes the good old British weather, don't you just love it  . Luckily, and this has happened every year (and it's been a partially wet event every year for the last five) it cleared up a treat for the Pimms quaffing contest ..er sorry concert and fireworks display on the Saturday night.

Actually we didn't 'imbibe' much this year because we had to be up early. In fact we were up very early as the lads with the Brutus and the Maybach-Zeppelin ( a combined capacity of about 70 litres) strolled out of the bar in the early hours and decided that an impromptu "flame off" would be a good idea !

It was interesting to hear lots of dads (and grandads !) explaining to kids what a mutant actually is. The commentator also had a go, 'tarted up Mini ' was one phrase ! Nice.
By the way I'd love to come and play at Prescott this weekend but it's just too much of a squeeze. (ie. the wife will be squeezing my bollox in a vice !) May try and get an entry for this though at the end of July....... http://www.shelsley-walsh.co.uk/events/ ... =21&ei=132 if anyone wants to come and play ? Trouble is it's a week before Harewood !
Have fun at Prescott. 8-)
