Handling. Caster.

Post by Vegard »

My Mini pulls slightly to the left. Should I decrease or increase the length of the left/right caster arms to fix this?

Pretty sure its shorten the left. Normally set this way in LHD countries... to counter the road camber that causes the car to drift to the right...

I had some difficulties on adjusting the camber with the Minispares tool. The instructions were, to be honest not very eloquent.

However, when I measured the wheelbase from left to right, there was about 4cm difference. I guess that's not how it should be ;)

Since the tolerance at one time on making a mini shell was apparently +/- 1/8", I would have thought that quite normal as is the pulling slightly. Personally I would set it up so the front geometry was correct or more importantly where I liked the handling and live with the pull.
