National Mini Cooper Day @ Beaulieu
The National Mini Cooper Day in Beaulieu is coming up soon. Anybody on here going?
I will have a stand between Nick Rogers' stand and the burger area like previous years and bring a good load of items to sell. Examples are a 22G1128 4-sync magic wand gearbox, NOS Cooper S brake master cylinder, std NOS D-top pistons, Hardy Spicer drive shafts (the proper ones), early Innocenti 160kph center speedo pod, rebuild 12G295 head, Mk 2/3 Cooper S cylinder head, Mk 3 S crank, NOS 848 Crank, NOS magic wand gearstick, mint lucas 576 lamps, NOS oil pumps (peg & spider drive), 1275A blocks, possibly a complete 100 mph Mk I speedo pod, chrome window catches (including a NOS single hole one), a complete 998 Cooper block from an Innocenti 1001, various final drive gear sets, and many other used Mk I and Mk II parts and perhaps I may even bring the Innocenti Mini T that is in the for sale section.

Three of us going down from here, and two friends following. Tickets all ready and waiting, just need to sort a camera. Might be bringing a Innocenti Mk3 Mini Minor to try and sell. But only time will tell. Hopefully find some good buys

Re: National Mini Cooper Day @ Beaulieu
Hi all
Im going - have no excuse really as its nearbyish. Should have a stall as well with all my vintagemini quality crap
Also currently in the process of trying to buy some leather toolbags (ex telecoms) they would so look the part in the boot of a mini!
If all goes to plan I should have 50 at the show and will do a deal for Mk1 forum members
Hope to put some forum names to faces

Re: National Mini Cooper Day @ Beaulieu
Excuse my ignorance but a quick question as a bit of a newbie to the mini shows.
Is this just a gathering of Coopers or is there an array of Non-Coopers also on show? Much Mk1 attendance? Trade stands etc?
Thinking of going but not sure what to expect from the day at present

Re: National Mini Cooper Day @ Beaulieu
There's a large mix of cars, from Coopers and S's (all MK's) to coach built cars like Radfords and Sprints, Ex-Works cars (normally the largest display you will see anywhere), the main arena will have a Mini's in motorsport display, and you will see most other types of Mini and MINI, Trades stands ect, plus you get entry into the Museum, which has just had a new Bond Exhibition open, all in all it's one of the best shows of the Mini year in my opinionNotNormal wrote:Excuse my ignorance but a quick question as a bit of a newbie to the mini shows.

Yup, will be there... Hoping it will be not as wet as last year. Forecast is not good tho...
I will have a BMC Service sign by Franco for sale, far from perfect, but nice anyhow, plus some MOMO Mini Metro pepperpot wheels, take those off me, please.....
I am after early (10/1963) 1071S parts.

Re: National Mini Cooper Day @ Beaulieu
Without a doubt the MCR day at Beaulieu is the best anual collection of really nice early minis anywhere in the country. All types & marques are represented strongly with an emphasis on the Cooper models.

Re: National Mini Cooper Day @ Beaulieu
I'll be there with 2 Benelite grilles, an Austin Super grille, a Churchill hydro pump, a grey/grey/gold brocade interior, rebuilt S brakes, original Lockheed clutch master cyl. a silver 59 speedo and pod. All sold and just being delivered. I will also have restored mk1 steering wheels, restored displacers, rebuilt S servos and tons more treasure for sale.
I will also have 2 Japanese visitors with me, representing British Garage Dinky and Garage J&B. They have never been to MCR Cooper day but have been to the Beaulieu Autojumble many times. I hope they will be suitably impressed with the cars they see.
