Windscreen wiper problems
Can anybody please give me some tips on ensuring wipers stay on the spigots on a Mk1. I cannot seem to get the hang of it. Replaced the wheel boxes and wiper arms last year. Gave me a headache then too. Anyway the issue is the wiper arms work for a few sweeps then one of them climbs up the spigot, slips, crosses the other one then pops off altogether. It resembles a clowns car and I cannot figure out why it does this. Got London 2 Brighton this weekend and an MOT to pass before hand. Any suggestions please? Pictures would be helpful as I wonder if I have assembled the wheel boxes incorrectly?? Cheers. Mark

Repro items? A friend of mine is having the same issue with new repro boxes and arms.

Thanks Rich. Loctite may help. Not sure if I have fitted the new old Minispares arms which were reportedly too baggy??
Changed to some old ones on my Mk 2 and touch wood all seems well.
RidingLow: would you have a link to where I find theses screw on arms. Sounds like a Land Rover part to me. Cheers
