Another one on the road
After a good few years beavering away in his garage a mate of mine has finally finished his MK3 restoration.
The basis was a MK3 S donor & a new Heritage shell which he spent a good few years converting to accurate MK3 spec. Now that did take some doing!
Looks nice doesn't it!

Yes I remember seeing Mini Machine take on the same task when I first visited in the early 90's and was surprised how much work that involves !mk1 wrote: he spent a good few years converting to accurate MK3 spec. Now that did take some doing!
I'm another Mk3 fan, OK they don't have the pure design of the Mk1 but are a product of their time which I love. I've got two of these and one of 'em used to be the same colour, on which note I'm still looking for original Mk3 seats if anyone has any leads ? And some S rims. And a speedo pod. And a grille. It's the original shell but a bit modded.

Love this! Bronze yellow is the best MK3 colour in my mind.
My MK3 S used to be the same colour, but not now
