4) It is expected that any items advertised on the forum are described fairly & honestly. It is the duty of the seller to ensure that this is the case.
5) Items listed for sale should WHEREVER POSSIBLE* be offered with a purchase price, not asking for bids from members. If you wish to auction your item to the highest bidder I would suggest you use ebay & pay the associated fees.

It would be much appreciated if sellers could leave the sale price on adverts after the item has been sold. This acts as a good measure of current value for other sellers.
* In some cases it may not be possible for the seller to list items with a sale price. In this case, listings will be reviewed on a case by case basis by a moderator. The moderators decision will be final.

Re: 1275 Cooper S engine
I realize we are not to post comments of for sale items. I have a few questions regarding this build. I see you are using Cooper S con rods with a SA 1100 crank. First, I suspect your rod journals have been machined to S sizes. It also appears you are running piston pins floated in small ends without bushings. When doing that we have always drilled for oiling up between the rails of beam to force oiling while traveling down the bore. We also added extra clearance. When grinding the shaft was the stroke changed or left std? I have a SA 1100 shaft I had ground to S sizes and adjusted to true 1071 stroke. I have also noticed with mine the SA 1100, rod journals are narrower than S and require machining rods for side clearance. I purchased a very expensive set of 6-inch rods to avoid decking one of my blocks but don't have the guts it takes to side clearance the new rods. Good luck with your sale. Steve (CTR)

Re: 1275 Cooper S engine
Hi Steve
Yes rod journals was taken to Cooper S size. Stroke was changed and not STD anymore.
Yes conrods needed some slight slimming down. Top of conrods was drilled for extra oiling.
I am running nylon/teflon buttons to keep the wrist pins in.
Carbs was already sold to a local gent, so engine wil be re-advertised and price wil be lower.
I ran the engine again for about 15 minutes last week on the test stand.
I also have a 1071 Cooper S engine running a SA 1100 crank also with Cooper S rods. Have done about 17 000kms since the engine was built still running strong.
Cheers
