Simplicity itself to make from a small piece of 2 - 3mm thick, second hand steel plate - and a hack-saw!

Re: Blanking plate for timing hole in clutch housing
My thoughts are there are two versions of these clutch cover hole blanking plates ..one type has just one of the Bolt Holes "slotted" so it can pivot out of the way & the other type just has two normal holes for clamping bolts or am i wrong ?.. also seem to remember there are diifering thickness to the material used it those covers ?
Got me thinking the Clutch Covers Castings also have differences in the shape of the Starter Bendix Cover area ..one type is Square end the other is Rounded end to the casting shape ?

He needs the two hole diamond shape for a '69 Cooper Norman.
You're right about the slightly later variant. Just loosen both bolts and allow it to rotate out of the way but still captive. Someone told me that it was to prevent owners dropping one of the bolts down through the open hole!!!!!
If CG sends me his address by pm, I'll make one for him when I get a couple of minutes

He obviously wasn't interested.......... Another transient passer-by with no real interest I'd say.

I wondered why Peter's offer wasn't taken up.
Surely they would be cheap enough to buy a new one, so just checked with some sellers - turns out these are NLA.
You may still hear from him.....

There may also be different philosophies and emotional factors involved. Some of us value skillful DIY, to others only genuine parts are acceptable.
