Thanks.
The suspension definitely wont work at the moment-thats for sure.
I measured the ride height from the middle of the wheels to the wheel arches.
It should be just over 13 inches according to Haynes on a standard Mini-bit different front and rear.
Mine in 11 inches at the at the front. Should be 13 and a bit.
The rear was within spec at just over 13 inches. Is a Cooper a bit lower?
I needs a bit of leveling up, no problem.
I think I shall put the Hi-Los up 2 inches on each side at the front and go from there. I fitted them at the lowest setting.
Maybe it will all change a bit with a few miles, as its all new.
I have no trouble cutting down the bump-stops if need be.
Changing the suspension settings is a walk in the park compared to fitting door cards, door handle escutcheons, windscreen seals, sliding windows, door trims and all the little stuff!
At least my air-filter box fits now with the correct manifold in place.

Worth baring in mind, that I have found that the cones need miles on them to settle, rather than just weight. So as you put some miles on it, they will start to compress, and you can make height adjustments from there.

Re: Curse of the Crimson Altar-1966 Mini Cooper Resurrection
Well,
After an unplanned break from the Mini, including an unplanned Mustang, I completed a number of time consuming jobs.
Heater working, upper engine brace in, clutch adjusted, brakes and clutch bled, dome light and pin switches working, generator repaired again, seat frame reassembled with some welding, door cars in, windows adjusted, fuel tank working etc.
It all takes loads of time and I have a full time job, so its difficult to squeeze it all in.
Anyway we are at this stage, so wont be long now. Few rattles to be sorted and clutch adjustment required. Reverse position is written on the gearstick!

Apart from that it seems to work quite well.

Re: Curse of the Crimson Altar-1966 Mini Cooper Resurrection
Well some sun, what can I say.
We went out for a little trip!
She feels very nippy and very responsive too, I can see what all the fuss is about.
Snagging/jobs list. Leaking oil pressure sender, need to take manifold vacuum off for the servo, brakes need bleeding, horn not working, lower body seams need the edge strip fitting.
Suspension height and general feel of everything else is very nice.
