Purolator Spin On Oil Filter Head

Post by sugarhiccup »

Hi all,

Looking for a ‘Purolator’ type spin on oil filter head that has the full-sized mating face to the block. I believe these may have been used on Sprite/Midgets at some stage?

Picture for reference:

Postage to Australia or U.K. can be achieved.

Many thanks! :)

You do realize there are two versions. One places the filter further away from the block and transmission. I haven't jigged up one with sub frame in years. I believe there was a sub frame clearance issue with the longer one. I do like the short ones as they have the larger mounting area and threaded steel insert. Steve (CTR)

Hi Steve,

Thank you, yes I had read this in another forum thread at some stage. I appreciate you bringing this to my attention again.

I would be looking for the compatible, shorter filter head option that doesn’t have clearance issues.

Cheers :)
