Horn Button Mk4

Post by Bob46320 »

I have a Mk4 with wooden steering wheel. There is the provision for a horn button. Is there a "slip ring" and contact available that can be fitted behind the boss to provide a connection to the horn button ?

I think you would also require provision in the steering column - and that stopped after the Mk1. The horn contact and slip ring worked via the early indicator stalk.
I expect it could be done but I'm not sure it would be all that simple.

How about a wireless button? This is a very cheap one but the idea might work
