Big bore Arden heads

Post by 66S »

Does anyone know if the new run of big bore/big valve Arden heads are ready for delivery yet? I heard there were some problems.

Regards

well spotted, its another quality minispares north item rescued from the charity shop.

it goes well with the 1960's velour green parker knoll two seater sofa that i 'saved' from the tip

they have never been made for small bores, if you mean 'will the 2012 version fit 970/1071', then the answer is yes, the face is thick enough to be skimmed back to get the required c.c in the head

I thought the heads were the same size in the chamber with the difference being made up for by the flat top pistons in the 970 for instance.

Were the 163 heads for the S types different for 970/1070/1275?

All S heads were 21.5cc as standard.

The difference between a small bore & big bore head is the spacing of the valves, nothing to do with the chamber volume.
