Prescott Mini Festival 2025

Post by Pete »

Well this event deserved another go (without Covid restrictions!) so the Prescott Mini Festival is back for 2025 on Saturday 16th of August. Loads of stuff to firm up yet but lots of classes for all flavours, variants and derivatives, rally cars, race cars etc.

Hope to have quite a few special display cars there, club stands, demo runs and trade stand plus a few special guests who will be interviewed at the lunch halt.

Pete, this looks brilliant. Well done for taking the effort to to run it again. I'd love to be there but we'll be on our way to Switzerland for the Ollon-Villars historic hillclimb, being held the following weekend. 8km per run on closed roads in stunning scenery is hard to ignore.
Best of luck with Prescott, and I hope you get lots of entries.

Pete. Can you get MiniWorld involved? It is the week before the IMM in Sussex so might attract International Mini Meeting visitors who could experience a trip to the Cotswolds on their way to and from Sussex. Just a thought. :D

Check out the Prescott ticket site as they usually have a camping option and will probably open the club house on the Friday and possibly the Saturday nights.

Yep camping Friday no problem (pretty essential for many of us!) . If they get enough interest I’m sure they’ll open up the clubhouse on Friday, certainly Saturday night because Retro Rides are there on the Sunday!
It’ll be a cracking event, I’ll make sure of it!

Most weekend events at Prescott will include Clubhouse opening on the Friday evening. At Rallye Prescott they had a 6R4 forum with meal which was great. Perhaps you could organise a Friday night event with celebrities as well as the lunchtime interviews. I went to the Rallye Friday event which was great. Just a thought. Have put date on 2025 calendar. :D

The classes we are proposing:

Class A Roadgoing Mini
Class B Pre ‘69 Roadgoing Mini
Class C Modified Mini
Class D Pre ‘69 Modified Mini (inc racing cars)
Class E Rally Minis
Class F BMW MINIS
Class G Sports Libre (inc space frame and Mini derivatives)

Plus we may permit fun runs if we can don’t fill the entry with competitors

Class C (modified) assume this to also include race minis as per MSUK class C1/3A

If you have it, could you point me to bit more detail on "Class B Pre ‘69 Roadgoing Mini" ?

Thanks

Prescott will be running under a MSUK licence for this event and the MSUK regs will no doubt apply they can be downloaded by anyone using their site under the heading `Resource Centre' then find the pdf download for 2025 regs and section 17 refers to road cars - basically it needs to have an A -series engine/gearbox as per production, have the same silhoutte of the mini must be unaltered, have full interior, road tyres, be insured, and DVLA (tax registerd inc Historic Class & exempt MOT allowedable) also Driver & Comp. Licence regs will apply to pass Scurtineering - when the entries come out with the regs that will clarify the classes but hope this helps initially
