Pistons marking

Post by Pete »

Anyone recognise this piston marking, it’s in an AEG 312 1275 S block and clearly +60 but whats the 1L? Tried to attach a decent size photo but computer says no.

Any numbers inside the piston will be more enlightening.

They’re extremely manky. Just wondered what the 1L is, hadn’t seen that before I don’t think. The bores won’t go again I dont think so 73.5 it might have to be.

Pete, 72.5 is only another 12 thou, and you could still go 73mm before 73.5

If you go to 73.5mm and offset the bores correctly , the bores may no clean up .

Ask me how I know :D
