Motorsport UK - Site Update

Post by Herbert850 »

Has anyone else tried to renew their Competition licence using the new Sport80 web site?

I'd welcome your thoughts & experience.

Yes it's about as useful as the proverbial.
There is no menu item on your user profile to renew your licence, which is what you are directed to by the instructions on the home page.
Am I missing something here??

The way I look at it is that any online ordering system that requires a 9 page crib sheet to enable you to do what you want, probably doesn't work that well to begin with.

As with everything to do with Motorsport UK, it's total rubbish.

Haven’t tied it yet but did create a login, now keep getting reminders my medical declaration is about to run out.

Searched everywhere and can't seem to find a link to RS Interclub licence application for renewal.
Anyone else tried to do this??

I renewed my race licence today, it is not an intuitive website, had to go through all sorts of sub menus to get to it, I’d say do the medical declaration first then go onto the licence side, even paying was a bit of a faf !, I’m not sure of the ‘value’ I’m getting from paying nearly £117, despite the benefits it is advertising.

I had a look at the site and gave up as I could not see how to renew my RS Clubman licence. It did not recognise my login?
FIA seem to have similar issues. So Glad I have not invested my pension fund to update my current personal safety equipment for a few annual events to enjoy the sport. Helmet, overalls, gloves plus car requirements etc. Happy to continue to spectate and enjoy driving to the venue in my classic Mini.

I renewed a few days ago, it is not the most user friendly site.
You need to:
1) log in
2) click on user profile
3) click on the profile button at the top of the page.
4) click on Medical Documents and complete the questions
5) keep clicking next and eventually pay
Hope this helps!

I did mine and as I can't remember anything about it, it must have gone realtively easily. Licence arrived about a week later.

I have heard from a few people that MSUK seem to have dredged up some info for people that is over 5 years out of date (including allocating old membership numbers rather than the currently used one and one person who had been reverted to her maiden name).
