Any idea what this clock is from?

Post by Exminiman »

As title really, came across this while looking for a decent binnacle, cant remember where it came from.

As its got two built in lights, it must be a single clock car.

Anyone got any ideas ?

Above is from the 1959 Mini Register so I guess yours is from a later Morris Mini with the extra tenth of a mile?

It’s a 61 Morris set up with plastic housing and the tenth mile on the end. 59/60 didn’t have this

Nice piece with the early switches though.

Great thanks, so it could be either a morris mini minor, standard or deluxe 61 ?

Seems a shame now to break it up for the bits, think I have even got the rest of the wiring loom somewhere….

Yeah, would’ve been the same for standard or deluxe

If you’re breaking it up and want to sell the switches I could use a couple of spares

The very first minis had 5 digit speedos, this is a six digit one. Those were introduced in May 62 and were used on both Morris and Austin cars until mid 64. These were used on all 850 models, saloons, estates and commercials.
