Stig in a Mini

Post by Brynmor »

I'm sure many of you will have seen the news that Stig Blomqvist is competing on this years Cambrian rally in a Mini which is great news for the sport and the event as a whole. I notice one of the partners is Mini Spares, would anyone know who at MS would have brokered the deal?

Here's the press release..

Pretty sure Ian Hunt put this together with Minispares as he mentioned it to me last year! With Phil Anning of course and Soderqvist Engineering who built it. They were all at Shelsley Classic back in the Summer.

A few pics .. 12” wheels next time I reckon as Stig did comment on the low ground clearance a few times!? Stages looked comparatively clean but deep mud in places. Brill event with several championships going down to the wire.

The gravel tyres were interesting as the tread pattern is high spec not a period pattern, managed to get some close up photos but all of the markings on the new ones at the service areas had all markings buffed off - these would be great loose surface tyres for 10" if ever made available
