I used to know one of the Page 3 girls. Corrine Russell. Sadly, I ddn't know her as well as my friend did. Actually she was a very nice girl

Is there any data anywhere on chassis numbers for the last GT’s ? Just bought a W reg one that was reg’d 1st Sep 80 ( as were a few others I’d presume ) . Can’t have been too many more sold after then, just clearing out the old stock ?

Apparently the final chassis number was XE2D2000744571

That was quick thanks.. Mine ends 733066 so I’m 11k from the end ( presuming the numbering system was logical ?!)

0-90 in 21 seconds was pretty good - not as fast as an Elan Sprint or a 2002Tii (sub 20 secs) but about the same as a Capri 3000. It was faster to 80 than an RS1600 (about 115-120 bhp) which is impressive.

The Clubman body really had appalling aerodynamics. The standard Mini is pretty poor but I bet the huge difference between 90 and 100 would be less.

It's interesting that Downton had their own 3:1 CWP.
