brake M/C push-rods
Anyone making these??? Fred...Catmint!!!!
Have a few M/C that need refurbishing.... I could weld up the pin holes and re-drill....fairly time consuming...was hoping to buy some new ones.

The only bit missing is the collet for the dust cover. I cut my old one off, removed it and put it on the new one.

I have bored through in inserted a top-hat type bush from either side several times Dermott. Soft soldered in place, never had a failure so far.
I have also found that the hole in the pedal becomes elongated and sloppy too. bored out to round, slightly countersunk and bushed, then rivetted over slightly to retain the bush. Works a treat

Yes, can get that part...it is for the MGB....not exactly the same but workable. MGB Hive have them for a little less money.
Might have a go at re-bushing the old ones.
Peter has done this with good success.

Hi Paul, the MG item is readily available...so, sure you picked it up from one of the suppliers. I have seen these range from 14 pounds to a
whopping 51 pounds!!!
Good part .....just makes you wonder why they cannot make one for the mini.
I ended up re-bushing a few of them today....they look good.

I've never re-bushed them, I don't have the gear, but I've welded a few of them up and re-drilled them. The hole in the end of the pedal can also go out of round so can benefit from it too.

I don't know how you'd get around the missing sleeve from the shaft. Although personally I can't see any harm coming from allowing the boot to slide up and down without the sleeve.
Or maybe a bit of plastic hose, split and wrapped around the shaft to be gripped tightly by the rubber boot.......

Paul cut the sleeve off and put it back onto the MG item....
BTW, I successfully re-bushed three pushrods....pleased with the results.
I drilled a larger hole in the two forks...inserted a tube in there....brazed the two forks....then, cut the piece of the tube from the inside...cleaned up and presto...good for another 100K miles
