Good cam choice for a 1275 S

I wonder how the RE13 would wear with some sensible millage, does anyone have experience of this?

Assume this would be effected by its ramp angles and total lift ?

My experience regarding mileage with RE13ot ( note this is NOT RE13pp), first engine I ran for about 30k miles using 1.5 rockers and did not have any significant cam wear. The current engine has done about 4 to 5k miles again with 1.5 rockers and is performing well. Factors that may influence others decisions as to suitability for their use are that engines are in a Lotus 7 weighing about 450kg with SCCR box and pulling about 16mph in top. Usage does not normally include motorway or city driving but A and B roads.

Calver ST insist you use their followers which they say are ground correctly (not all are apparently) , the cam is centre drilled & all lobes / followers surfaces are fed with oil driilings from that gallery in the correct place so should have a reasonably long life

cam grinding has come on since the 1960s & 70s in terms of accuracy aswell
