What is the value of this master cylinder?

What is the value of this master cylinder?
I found this in someone's attic and since I don't have the right car for it, I figured I could put it up because I know they are sought after. Question is, what is a fair price? Outside appears in good condition, it seems to have the original Lockheed rubber in place. I don't think it is NOS because there is part of an old gasket attached to the bottom and there was brake fluid inside. The piston appears to be stuck. I have not tried opening it.

It's a intermediate type of clutch cylinder. As far as I know this was the model that came in between the ones with the metal caps and the ones with the plastic. So this could be correct with this type of cap.

'scuse my ignorance, but what is it that makes it unusual? just looks like a master cylinder to me. Is there a difference in early ones, other than the cap material?

It looks like an early one to me, it has a removable nut on top. The intermediate one had a hexagonal shape which wasn't removable, then they went to the tapered top. I agree, pretty sure the plastic cap only came in with the later 'tapered top' master cylinders and the previous types came with the metal cap. I threw away loads of the metal caps in the 1970's and replaced with plastic as they unscrewed easier.......

I mixed my types up, my mistake.
It looks like it has the removable nut top, this would mean it would be the oldest type that was used on minis. The type that has the dummy nut came after that. Now I have seen that type with metal caps and plastic caps.

Although people (including myself often swapped to plastic caps) so the early type did not necessarily come with them from the Lockheed factory.
