mini friendly garage North Cotswolds??

Post by snoopy64 »

As per title…moving house and will be too far to still go to DME in Arborfield sadly after all this time. So who is there in the North Głos area?
Cheers

Slark is not too far South just beyond Bristol.

Hi Kevin
Where are you moving to in the North Cotswolds and have you applied for a passport. What sort of work?
Best wishes.

Slark is miles away from the North Cotswolds, I know as I did the trip a few years away. Since moving from the London area many years ago it is a question of how many miles to the nearest garage. Bull Motif in Winchcombe have been very good for parts in the North Cotswolds when I need them.

Adam at ATA Classics is great with Minis, he also builds historic race and rally cars. Steve who used to work with Tim at Minimail is there 3 days a week.
Ive always been more than happy with their work and they're very local to you. Still worth using Southam for rolling road set up.

The Northwick Business Centre is like Aladdin's Cave for the motor enthusiast. My neighbour has recently had work done on his MGB at ATA and was very pleased.

And if you do go to ATA at Blockley, please sit for a few moments in the small memorial garden there. It represents the many thousands of our staunchest allies, the Poles, who fought like lions in Italy in the winter of 1943/44 and opened up the advance northwards by taking Monte Cassino.

Their familes came to Britain after the war. We housed them at Blockey and treated them like dirt

Went into Bicester Heritage yesterday to buy some Millers .. this area has become quite something with the Apprentice Training Building & the other Business that all seem to be thriving, was a Hot day so all the Doors were open & there was every type of vintage & classic vehicle around .. made me smile as a very rough looking bits hanging off Leyland Sherpa Van was being Towed on the road to its next restoration.. Bicester Heritage is worth the visit. (to get into the site on a weekday tell the guy on the security gate you are going in to buy some oil & wait to be told where you are going) ;)
