No middle supports required. The trusses are engineered for our snow loading in my area....
My barn has 40 foot span on those trusses....this shop is 28 foot span.
Snowed overnight....winter is finally here in the foothills of the Rockies.

Weather did send a bit of snow...temperatures still in the plus range right through Christmas.....hauled the trusses home today....might get them up before Christmas.

Mother Nature continues to be kind to me.....in fact, we may not have a white Christmas...was +10 here today.
Making steady progress....next step...trimming...aligning the trusses and prepping for the sheathing.

Good progress however, shutting down any further work for at least a week. An Artic cold front is about to hit us here after balmy temps for the last two months.

Oh so close to getting the shingles on......still, achieved way more than I had planned.

Have the drip edge on...shingles all stacked up on the ridge (thanks to the big Kubota...sure makes life easy)

The Kubota's are a fabulous piece of kit, so well engineered...

After a bit of a hiatus our beautiful warm weather has returned giving me an opportunity to get back to the shop work.
Few days of grunt work...and I mean grunt work...have the shingles on....vents installed...happy with the result.
Roofing is not something I would want to do for a living. Those guys do earn their money.
Ran the gas line in for the gas furnace.
Next is the rough wiring.

Wasn't able to get much done over the winter....not much of an outdoors worker in winter :D
Spring was all about getting a few car projects back on plan...including the race mini.
Summer is definitely the time to be outside...so, started working on the new shop again.....currently doing the vinyl siding.....soffits all installed...eavestroughs also installed. Front is now complete...tidies up the frontal area.....graded to approach......all ready for gravel.
Planning on hiring a couple of big strong lads to do the Gyproc and taping when I finish the exterior.
