Oops, seems I was suffering temporary 8-)

another nice option is this, which makes the gaiter obsolete:

I am new to minis. However with what little driving I have done, I have not run into issues with going into reverse accidentally. Is this something I need to worry about as far as installing a lock out? Maybe it will eventually happen to me. Just want to know if I am missing something. Thanks!

Easily resolved, by buying the matching colotti 5-speed gearbox

Been in touch with Tony Pattinson today, he has moved away from that address. He is going to find out whether the people who made them for him can still do them, is there anyone else interested in this kit ?

Im guessing KAD went with the detent version of the lockout as the one on top of the remote won’t work with one of their quick shift levers

I wonder if anyone does something like this for my wife's VW Golf. She's notorious for selecting the wrong gears while everyday driving! Reversed out of the garage while trying to roll the car IN a bit further. Door buckled and ripped off runners...... she's a xxxxxxg nightmare!

I tried a KAD quick shift on my dogbox, but it was not good at engaging under load.

Hopefully they do a better job in a SC/CR box then, as I have one waiting to go on the mk2

I've not had any gear selection issues using a KAD 'quick' shift on a 22g1128 remote box with either a sccr syncro gearset or a Swiftune dog engagement gearset.
