Morris Mini Mk1- Light/Wiper Switch

Post by ERNGOR »

How do you gain access to the wiper/light switch. I have had a fiddle around and I cannot find a way of gaining access. The car is fitted with a heater.

You have to remove the heater - or at least drop it down ;)

Look under the central mk1 switch panel where the heater secures .. take out the Screws that secure the front top edge of the Heater unit .. the Heater will then pivot down on its rear mounting to gain access to the Light Switch area .. it is a stand on your Head type of job but doable

There are a few wires under there too. So can I suggest that before you are laid down there you disconnect the battery earth lead. And before you pull the wires off the switch, if you haven't got a relevant wiring diagram, you scribble down where each colour goes back on!
