Sadly Roger passed away yesterday. I first met Roger on the Italian Job run in 2000 and have remained friends ever since. He was a great character and I have very fond memories of our adventures together. Especially the RSP event at Gaydon in 2010 and a trip to Le Mans Classic in 2012 when I oversized my tent and he took over the spare room. Lots of love to his Von, his children and grandchildren. RIP mate. Cannot believe a year has passed since your birthday celebration at Bicester Heritage when you took to your Lambretta. He did love Italy, especially his Lambretta'.
RIP mate.

Re: Roger Hunt RIP - RSP owner & Mini enthusiast
So sad to hear.
I met Roger online many years ago through another mini forum where we shared our love of classic minis.
My wife and I then offered a bed and some sight seeing to his son Andrew when he visited NZ on his OE. We even got him to eat tomato which apparently was a thing, he had refused to try them at all growing up and was quite excited by his achievement!
A while after that I did a trip back to the UK and met up with Roger and his lovely family in person. They put me up at their beautiful house and lent me one of his Hawk Sprints to take to a mini show. After the show there was a party in one of the out buildings on their property, so a great night was had by all. I recall Spitfire beer was the drink of choice at that time. They lived in a converted pub and had an out building named "The Millennium Room" that the local community would to use for functions etc.
From my observation they were an extremely close family which was lovely to see and be a part of whilst there.
My thoughts go out to Von and the kids.
Rest in peace mate.
