From what I can see it is left over stuff from that darker batch that Newton had made, and is now superseded?

A pal of mine messaged and was told it is darker than the usual, which in my opinion is already a bit too blue.

Will do Steve
Interestingly in the listing image the gold looks to match up more accurately than the Newton stuff I've had in the past

So received the sample, and I'm impressed with the quality, compared to the Newton stuff I've been used to seeing, obviously the colour is wrong on this sample, as in Sam's image, but the texture and accuracy of the gold inlay is excellent. I just wish they would sell this by the roll so that it can be made up more accurately on to the card panels. They add too much padding, which to me just looks wrong. I've added images of pre 2019 Newton, and real brocade .this is assuming Newton made this off colour sample.

Cant see it selling very well as the colour is way too blue, but interesting material.

Probably the price point helped, when its 1/4 of Newtons.
