Enjoyed myself, sun shone, lots of minis, what's not to like?
Lovely tribute to Robert

I wish that you'd knocked on my door floor-manager....., and Snoopy. Caught up with 1071Bob and a couple of other forumers too. The van was v. nice too. But our own Surfari's grey van at last years was an absolute masterpiece of perfection. Where were you Olly?

Agree, lots of lovely cars there. Always amazes me, garages must be full up and down the country.

I was in the Mainstream Cooper this year in the concours. Every time I walked over to your cooper you weren’t there

Did anyone look at the Bangers & Cash car from the current series? I was short on time and didn’t get a chance to have a good look, the overall finish looked good to me (ignoring the ‘correctness’ issues)
Cheers

Missed seeing Peter and 1071 Bob this year, but have to say whoever ordered the weather got it spot on. Great to meet Gordon (Catmint) and Andrew and Simon face to face and probably walked past a lot of you in in and amongst the trunk traders and Parts sellers. Perhaps we need some forum name badges next event?

Great to meet a lot of folks and put faces to names, thanks for all the feedback. Nice to see some pictures as I never got chance to have a look around, but the weather was spot on. And thanks to the helpers who pushed lisa's car to and from the super stand as the clutch master went as we put it ion the trailer to bring down !!!

The concours has changed . No longer is it rows of tex book mk1 “S” . The biggest group by far is the modded mini up to 1969 . Class 2 I think . The new toilet facilities are great as well … Shirley

I think the catering need to look at themselves though, the lack of any queues may give them a clue to the cost, duck wrap £12 and about 2 mouthfuls in size

Not so much the catering but the two Kiwi Cream ice cream sellers were NZers from Hamilton and Huntley, on the Waikato. Next door to where I was based for a long time. Good long chat with them both. So sorry if you were in the queue behind me!

Maybe someone from the forum could come up with a small but distinct down-loadable Mk1 forum badge that the forumers could pin on to their T shirt. Sadly my Norton Commando T shirt didn't attract any forumers.......just a couple of Commando owners!

Concours seems to be getting smaller every year... and I cannot understand how they score it. I put the mainstream Cooper in this year (its certainly not concours, but very good) hoping to entice a buyer to be honest rather than a trophy . However I put it in the 1990-2001 Cooper standard class. The winner in my book should've been The Cooper 40LE at the front.. not a thing, instead a first and second for cars that were nice, but no way near as good, and both modified....
