I went down to Skipton on Sunday for the Ilkley Jubilee Rally. There was a good turn out of cars with a few Minis, loads of MGs, triumphs Escorts, a few Alfa, a couple of 911s all sorts of other stuff including a screaming Wartburg.
The Orange Box was out, how did it go Steve?
Nice looking Clubman
My dad brought one of these in 1968
Plenty of MGs were out
Standard 10 on the bump stops
Plenty of Triumphs as well
Nice little Abarth Fiat
Volvo leans into bend

Nice to see you there Stuart, you get about a bit don't you Not the best day for us, had a different navigator for the day, a very experienced guy when Bob my usual navigator had prior commitments. Two wrong slots, got stuck behind a cycle race, a flock (?) of horses amongst other things knackered our morning dropping us to 29th A wrong test after lunch cost us another 1 min or so, after that it went quite well, the little orangebox getting within 2 sec on the long fast tests To rub salt in the wound Bob found he could do the event after a change of circumstances, but i'm a man of my word so i stuck with my stand in guy and got Bob a ride with someone else so he could still collect c/ship points, and they went and won

You were supposed to go round cones 6 and 5 again before heading for 7 on that after lunch test. I was getting ready to get some footage of you screaching about on the tarmac, but you went straight for the gravel and cone 7.SMOKE GREY wrote:

Perhaps things will be better on the next one.
