Clive Atthowe in Norwich

Not used him personally but have always heard good reports.

Recently rolling loaded my mates 1293 Supercharged 'ex' SPI Cooper with good results .

I have used Airey Tuning at Cheriton in Hampshire a few times - and have always been very impressed with how much better the car runs after a rolling road session with Tom Airey - even if the car wasn't running particularly badly before. Easily passed the emission tests on the next MOTs.

They work on lots of classic cars - but I don't think they get involved with fuel injection.

JPR tuning in Yate,

Squeezed the Van in for a 'quick tune up', it was there 7 hours in total and at a sensible price too!

Pulling this one back up….

With Rob Waddington retired and MiniSport no longer offering a rolling road (other than for their own use), who are the current favourites in Lancashire/Cumbria/North Yorkshire? Especially for SUs.

Do Motoscope only really do Webers?
Someone’s mentioned RE Performance in Bury - anyone on here any experience?

Not sure on current situation, but the problem with SU's was they didn't carry any parts for them, so would only setup what you brought. Might have changed now as they have altered quite a bit more focusing on building rather than the shop

Thanks Gordon - I’ll give them a ring and see what they say.

Theres the Rev Shed at Kendal Graeme, basically a lad i know with a dyno in a cow shed, Very Cumbrian!! He can tweak SU's I think, certainly worth getting in touch and worth taking a selection of parts with you to swap in and out? Theres also a dyno up at Alston who can deal with SU's, although i've never been.
I'm a bit out of touch as nothing i have runs su's.
Wanna see what I'm playing with? Youtube Channel
Caution ;) may contain 8 Ports, Xe's and VTec's, I don't do standard!

He can shave an SU Needle as well.

My first post in this Forum. Feel qualified as I've just bought a '66 Super Deluxe with hydro.
Since this post I've taken 2 more minis to John and Gareth. A 1330 and an well overbored 1098 and they've really sorted both engines out for me.
Can't praise them highly enough.

Tom Bell’s TBR Racing is North Yorkshire isn’t it? He definitely had / has a rolling road.

A shout out for the South West / Devon based rolling roads i’ve used over the years;

Neil Slark at Slarks in South Bristol.
Dave at Baskerville classic autos in Barnstaple.
Stephen Miles at Tipton Garage in Ottery St Mary.

Couple of sons of ex Downton engineers in that list. All very good and helpful chaps. Richard Miles (if you catch him in) loves a chat about the old times and will talk for ages about his Downton days.
- You must have shot an awful lot of tigers, Sir.

- Yes, I used a machine gun ;)

Wrong Coast from you but have one at Boot2bonnet in Woodland, CA 95695, and regularly tune race, and road minis.

Also in the U.S., and also on West Coast, is:
Carb Conn,
In the Totem Lake area of Kirkland, WA, and very familiar with Classic Minis due to SAMOA having had Dyno Days there in the past.

https://www.carbconn.com/

Ask for Nick or Troy.

Best of luck, and of course, most of the time you'll be reading lean, especially at higher RPMs.
