Has anyone got any tips for attaching the MGB seat runners to Microcells and tubular subframes? Do I need some kind of half washer like this to join the lower part of the runner which has a flat surface to the tubular surface of the subframe?

Or, should I just bolt the flat surface up and be done with it?

I would suggest using them on the bottom of the tube to spread the bolt tension, if you are not sleeving the holes.

Yes that’s a thought. I was considering using a curved washer for that purpose. This was more about positively locating a flat surface against a curved one

I have done both the following.
1) Made fancy (thinish) washers with a flat side & a semi circular side these worked really well but raised the seat up by the height of the sopacer. Did look like a neat & tidy job though.
2) just bolted the runners straight on to the round tube & kept my fingers crossed.
Both methods worked admirably.
I'll leave you to guess which my preferred method is now
