Platinum Alloys in Swindon seem to be up for most things...

I have restored several sets of D1s, to do it properly is very time consuming and will cost you quite a lot if paying someone else to do it. While time consuming it isn't that difficult so if you have time, do some searches on here for methods etc. and it will be a worthwhile exercise. For a start, have them vapour blasted not sand blasted. Sand blasting roughens the surfaces too much resulting in a huge amount of sanding and polishing, I found this out the hard way!!.

Wheels UK off Deedmore Rd Cov. They have done a number of complex wheels for me, and in my opinion reasonably priced. They also repair split rims and straighten wheels too.

Don't forget when it comes to restoring the wheels that on the Dunlops, the 8 'spokes' were not machine cut but were left 'as cast'. Good wheels and good material too.

When I was a student, one of my tutor group pals had the material analysed for me at the RAE metallurgy labs at Farnborough

Wheels UK have refurbished two sets of Mk3 Cosmics for me in recent years and did a sterling job each time.

The last lot were about £45 each for refurbishment, plus I had new tyres fitted there at about £60 each - this was about four years ago.

Oxford wheel repair centre also crack tested mine and fitted new bolt-in valves as part of the all-in cash price
