G'day from Australia.
I've just tried logging into the Ausmini forum here and I get a message saying I've been permanently banned from the board and to contact admin for more information. Obviously something has gone haywire with the site as I've not posted anything that would result in being banned.
I know there are quite a few from Australia who are also members of this forum and I'm wondering if anyone knows what's happened to the site? I did read a few weeks ago that there was a spam email link or something on the site and maybe that's caused the admins to take the site down.
It's a sunny 39 degrees C (about 102F) here today so a bit warm to take Minnie for a run
Cheers, Rocky

Re: Australian Ausmini forum
There was a huge increase in spammers, so the admin used IP address blocking to automatically stop them joining and posting

As Timmy has said just drop me a message and I will fix. We are filtering on IP address which has helped dramatically to reduce the SPAM but some overseas members have been caught up.
I need your IP address to make the change. You can usually find it in your devices network settings, or this website will provide it.

The ip address will only work if they have a static ip address most domestic services won’t have this……….l

It’s certainly not perfect but has reduced the SPAM attempts dramatically so far.

Re: Australian Ausmini forum
I sympathise. Over the years we have had many bouts of Spam attack here too. I have found that the best way to control it without pi55ing a lot of people off royally, is by using CAPTCH questions & changing the questions & answers regularly.
Banning using IP Is a bit of a sledge hammer to crack a nut as, has already been said, many people have floating IP's. Making this type of ban ineffective for most people.
