vortz airbox fitting problem

vortz airbox fitting problem
I am currently trying to fit a vortz airbox to my 1071, all clearances seem to be ok apart from the fuel outlet boss on the l/h carb float bowl top fowling the air intake part of the airbox and i cannot get the box to fit flush to the carb flange, has anyone had this problem before? cheers, ian.

Sorry, meant to say its for twin hs2's with the oblong single air intake.
