Fuel pump SU pictures

Post by Austinmini1966 »

I am struggling to get the orientation and position correct with an original SU fuel pump and bracket. Has anyone got any photos of one fitted ?
Many thanks

Here's an original set up on a late 64.

The pump should have flow direction arrows on it.
Orient the pump so that the inlet is lower than the outlet.
Obviously, the pipe from the tank goes to the inlet, and being lower, makes the system automatically flush the air out.

I'm sure that my pump has 'outlet at top' on one of the back/pipe surfaces.

To be honest, it does make more sense to have it gravity fed in the first place.......
